April Morrow
April Morrow spent years working as an ordained minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Going door to door, she spoke out against porn and the degradation of our planet before doing so was fashionable. Although she loved the opportunity to engage with the public on these topics, she was unable to conceive of God as a "he” and ultimately left the congregation.
A lifelong dancer, April began teaching over two decades ago and opened Dance To Connect in 2006. She teaches all forms of partnership dancing including ballroom, country, swing, nightclub, and salsa. She specializes in West Coast Swing and choreographing wedding dances. She has taught for H.C.C., G.R.C.C., and Pierce College. She lead the ballroom and swing dance programs at Pacific Lutheran University for over a decade until 2021, when she was canceled after posting a gender critical video.
As an HSP highly sensitive person experiencing childhood and adulthood disembodiment and body dysmorphia, April spent almost a decade with amazing coaches and therapists learning to release the trauma from her limbic and nervous system. Her body had kept the score. With time veils were removed and she could see the many patriarchal reversals and her own internalized misogyny. She learned to identify triggers, attachment styles, “fight, flight, and fawn” responses, and where she lacked boundaries. She took control of her trauma, C-PTSD, and over stimulated sensory system known as HSP. Today she works as a life coach helping other women to do the same.
April founded Sovereign Women Speak in 2021 to unite women in resisting a culture that seeks to destroy us. Since, SWS has held several direct actions and speakers corners. April works with incarcerated women inside WCCW being housed with serial killers, pedos, and rapists. She gathered women to march in the Milton Days Parade to expose the state of WA for putting women in danger. Her and other women testified against HB1956. In October of 2022 she organized Kellie-Jay Keen’s Let Women Speak US Tour where she was assaulted by a trans rights activist crushing her hand and breaking her journal equipment. She is presently preparing to make banners for a bridge drop for detransitioners day and the 3rd annual SWS event.
